Babolat has complemented the Pure Drive line and added a model that prizes control. They slightly revised their most popular model and added Pure Drive 98 to the collection.
The racket, compared to the classic model, has 5 grams more, while featuring a slightly smaller head of 630 cm2 or 98 in2. This contributes to greater control and improved accuracy. At the same time, the frame has slightly narrowed, requiring somewhat better technique from the player, as the modified characteristics reduce power and the ideal point of contact.
In the new version it uses the HTR System, which ensures the racket is even stiffer and more torsion-stable, thus better transferring energy for more power, and a new technology: SWX Pure Feel. This is a thin and extremely flexible rubber that dampens vibrations. To make the racket as responsive as possible again, the string pattern has been slightly opened, which is still combined with FSI technology, which increases the sweet spot (ideal contact point) and tolerates a few more mistakes, while also further increasing power and spin potential.
