Babolat has also updated the Pure Drive 98 for even more control of one of the most directed rackets, and thus released the 11th generation of this model to the market. It features a new design and updated technologies, such as NF2 Tech for greater comfort and FSI Power for a more optimal energy transfer.
Compared to the classic Pure Drive racket, the new model offers greater control, but with slightly less power and less spin.
The racket, compared to the classic model, has 5 grams more, while its head is slightly smaller at 630 cm2 or 98 in2. This contributes to greater control and better precision. At the same time, the frame of the racket has narrowed a bit, so it requires slightly better technique from the player, as the change in characteristics reduces power and the ideal contact point.
It is an excellent choice for aggressive players who want shots with enough spin, good response, precision, and exceptional agility.
In the new version they added a new HTR System, which ensures the racket is even stiffer and more torsion-stable and thus better transmits energy for more power, along with updated technology: NF2 Tech, which uses fibers to reduce vibrations and increase comfort, making this racket softer and more enjoyable to play with than ever before.
To make the racket even more responsive again, they slightly opened the string pattern, which is still combined with FSI technology, which increases the sweet spot (ideal contact point) and tolerates a few more mistakes, while also further increasing power and spin potential.
